👉 Durra-Bull Application Instructions 👈

Durra-Bull Adhesive is shipped either wrapped around the rest of the order (if ordered in 1yd quantity) or in a roll of several yards. You should inspect it upon arrival to determine which side of the carrier sheet is "shiny," or take a corner and see how the adhesive separates from the carrier sheet. The adhesive is shiny and must be placed facing the material to which you'd like to apply it. The carrier sheet itself serves no protective function once the adhesive has been applied, and may be discarded.

Flat/Shirt Press Directions:

Lay your material’s engraving or embroidered side “face down” on your press, with the shiny side of the adhesive sheet facing the material's backside. Once the adhesive is positioned over the material to your satisfaction, press at 220*F for 10-12 seconds, and allow to cool. See "Special Considerations" for tips on various materials.

Household Iron Directions:

The iron will need to be set to the cotton/linen setting, using no steam. Place an ironing board or old towel on the stable surface you'll be ironing on, so that any moisture emitted does not damage the material. Lay the engraving or embroidered side of the material “face down,” with the shiny side of the adhesive sheet facing the material's backside. Position the adhesive sheet to your desired position, then use a gentle upward motion through the center of the adhesive sheet. Work from the center and move outward to reduce wrinkles in the adhesive. Once the entire surface of the adhesive is secured to the material, allow time for cooling and proceed with your project. See "Special Considerations" for tips on various materials.

Disappointed

I had hoped that this adhesive was going to be strong enough for patches, but after a few hours my patch peeled right off of my cap. Very disappointed.

Hi Rita, we will be happy to help you troubleshoot your process so you can get this figured out. The adhesive operates on a very basic scientific principle, because it is a polymer that liquefies at our recommended temperatures. Then, you use a combination of heat and pressure to fuse the materials together. Once it hardens, the bond is permanent and complete. If your patch is peeling, you are either not heating it to the recommended temperatures, or not using the recommended pressure settings. One of those two needs adjustment and the adhesive will work just as it is intended moving forward.

Would love to give a higher review but shipping kills it

I had never tried Lonestar products but all I saw was rave reviews so I thought I'd give you a try. The products themselves did not disappoint! The glue is fantastic and easy to apply before laser engraving. The engravings themselves are sharp and excellent contrast. I tried some very cool products like the carbon fibre/silver, cork and wood grain. Really beautiful products. However, on a $100 Canadian order, I had to pay $62 import fee... because of this there is no possible way I can justify buying again, really really unfortunate.

We completely understand that the shipping, which is 100% out of our control, has become an issue while our governments go through this tariff situation. We always appreciate feedback on what we •can• control and is representative of our small business- and glad to hear of your approval!
